This is Day 16 from the Journal Challenge:
Happy Day 16! Are you still hanging in there?
The Lord gave our challenge for next week. The challenge is to NOT order out (food/coffee/etc) next Wednesday. I want to challenge you to PLAN ahead, cook from home, take it with you to work/school/etc. Make your coffee/tea at HOME.
Let me bring clarity to this challenge.
It’s time for us to start PLANNING ahead and PRIORITIZING our schedule. How much money do you waste eating out everyday? How much do you spend at Starbucks?
I’ve gotten so many messages saying, “Heather, I want to go to your conference, but I just don’t have the money.” I click on your profile and you eat out everyday + you have a Starbucks in your hand. Now, I ain’t in your bank account and it’s not my business but let’s do a little hypothetical math:
Starbucks drink: $6.30
Monday-Friday: 31.50
Weeks until the 2020 Pinky Promise Conference: 30
How much will you save between now and then if you don’t drink Starbucks? $945.
Flight/Rental Car to conference: $250
Hotel (split/shared) $200
Ticket: $85
Total: $583
Oooh girl, it sounds like you got money LEFT OVER and still an opportunity to buy a coffee machine and make your own for those 30 weeks.
The point I want you to see is ARE YOU DYING TO YOUR FLESH LONG ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO SEE IN YOUR LIFE?
I want to challenge you to start PLANNING ahead in your life. At times, we aren’t spending time with the Lord because we feel so dragged all day. From school, to the kids, to the husband, dinner, cleaning up, etc — I am challenging you to start looking at your life and schedule and see what you can adjust.
Here’s some tips:
-Meal planning for the week and sticking to it. Only ordering what’s on your meal plan for the week. So, when you go to the grocery store, you’re not walking around aimlessly.
-Refusing to eat out and sticking to a cash budget when it comes to eating out.
-Writing out your goals daily and prioritizing the top 3 things on your list.
-Writing out your annual goals, trips, etc. It’s important that you have things to look forward too in general. I share my blog about traveling the world on a budget HERE.
-Taking snacks with you so you aren’t tempted to eat unhealthy. My go-to is Fiji apples, almond butter and granola.
-Pull out your outfit and your kids outfits the night before.
-Make their lunches the night before.
-Order groceries via instacart the night before so when you wake up its at your house.
-Clean your closet and organize it. You shouldn’t spend more than 10 seconds locating something. When everything has a place then you spend less time searching for things.
I want you to get your TIME back. Organizing your schedule, planning ahead of your food and de-cluttering your HOME.
I LOVE Proverbs 31:25 it says that “She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.”
Wanna know why she laughs without fear of the future? Homegirl plans AHEAD.
So, today — let’s plan ahead. One day at a time.
So, again, today is day 16. Grab your journals and write “Day 16” Tomorrow is Day 17 and so on. If this is your first day joining the challenge, for you — it’s day 1. If you haven’t grabbed your journal or a book to read for the month — find one! If you need some help, I have journals and books HERE. I will rush ship everything to you!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the details of the Journal challenge, check it out HERE. I’ve also posted ALL of the previous days on my blog as well. Check out the details there.
I shared a course that I recorded on “Overcoming Insecurities” so if you are finding that rejection, abandonment and your past is stopping you from being happy, married, joyful, single or whatever else – check it out HERE.
ALSO, every week, I will be giving you a NEW scripture to meditate on for the week. The goal is to meditate on it daily AND memorize it. Even if you’ve already memorized the scripture — then meditate on it. Just roll it over in your mind, think about it, focus on it, break it down and study it in a brand new way.
I hope it’s going well! We will have a new one on Monday!
WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGE FOR NEXT WEEK! Stay Tuned.
The scripture for this week!
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Last week’s scripture to memorize:
Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The first’s week’s scripture is:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT Version)
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all that you do and He will show you which path to take.”
Just a few things!
-I will be sending out a DAILY email of encouragement for the next 21 days and we will wrap with my FREE monthly study on January 23rd, 2020 at 9pm EST LIVE on my Youtube Channel. ( I will also be doing a Live Q & A!)
-There’s no “set” time to when I will send out the daily email. I will send it out as the Holy Spirit places it on my heart. It may be 8am EST. Or, 8pm EST. Don’t worry, it’s coming! Also, make sure you take this email out of your junk mail if it went there!
-Be sure to join the Facebook Group for accountability! You can join the group HERE. If the link isn’t pulling up for you for some reason, just search “Pinky Promise Sisterhood” on Facebook.
Remember, it’s easy to start. The goal here is to FINISH. You have 24 hours in ONE day. Give 1% of your day to God for the next 21 days. I can ASSURE you that it will CHANGE your life.
After the 21 days, you will find yourself NATURALLY going to the Lord’s presence for 1:1 time.
