This Day 18 from the Journal Challenge:
Don’t worry about your future.
You may be facing something right now that seems so much bigger than you.
I came to tell you that I have PROOF that you don’t need to worry.
Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Matthew 6:25-27
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
THANK YOU JESUS!
God is the ALPHA and the OMEGA. He is not surprised by your life or what is IN IT!
Remember that God gives us grace for TODAY. And when tomorrow comes, it will be TODAY. So, stop worrying, meditating and focusing on what’s ahead of you.
Yes, we talked about planning ahead and practically, that’s still relevant. If your planning is rooted and grounded in trusting yourself over God then you will walk by fear and not by faith.
You cannot control what happens in some areas of your life. Some areas, you can plan ahead — like financially, around the house, etc. But some areas, you cannot control.
LIFE is going to happen.
Your kids may cut up.
Your marriage may be in trouble.
You may lose your job.
You may have lost your position at church.
You may have financially lost everything.
But stay firm and grounded in the promises of God. God provides all of your needs according to HIS riches and glory.
Don’t respond like this world does in hard times.
Respond by running to the feet of Jesus and laying there.
Respond by reading your word and meditating on scriptures.
Respond by forgiving whoever has hurt you.
Respond by being quiet and letting the Lord fight your battles.
Respond by being still and knowing God is God.
Respond by believing the best.
Respond by never giving up on Jesus.
You’re NOT alone. God loves you so much. The plans that He has for you are good and He wants you to be HEALTHY.
So today, I want to challenge your response towards what you face. In my own life, I cannot control some things but I still CHOOSE TO HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE and I still choose Jesus. I choose joy. I choose walking by faith. I choose to keep STANDING when all hell is breaking loose in my life.
You see, I’ve practiced this for many years. When I get tested, I no longer crumble because I “lifted that weight” and I’ve developed past the tests ability to hurt me.
You can’t talk about me and it hurt me. It’s like water off a ducks back. I used to crumble when people I didn’t know online would trash me (lol) but after being online encouraging people for over 11 years, it no longer bothers me. I have perspective. First, they don’t know me and if they knew me, they would love me. (haha!) Most importantly, they don’t have the love of Jesus in them so of course they will hate me without cause. There’s no way that you can say that you love Jesus but hate your sister or brother (1 John)
You cannot tell me that God didn’t call me to preach. I know He did. I have too much proof baby. I’ve been through too much to even doubt the goodness and faithfulness of God!
When a door closes, it doesn’t crush me. I trust that God opens and closes my doors. How did I get to this place? I’ve had a lot of doors slammed in my face. I’ve also had a lot of doors open. My hope ain’t in the door, it’s in JESUS.
What about you? What areas is satan attacking you in?
FIGHT back. GROW. LIFT THAT WEIGHT. Trust in the LORD.
Don’t ever give up!
So, again, today is day 18. Grab your journals and write “Day 18” Tomorrow is Day 19 and so on. If this is your first day joining the challenge, for you — it’s day 1. If you haven’t grabbed your journal or a book to read for the month — find one! If you need some help, I have journals and books HERE. I will rush ship everything to you!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the details of the Journal challenge, check it out HERE. I’ve also posted ALL of the previous days on my blog as well. Check out the details there.
I shared a course that I recorded on “Overcoming Insecurities” so if you are finding that rejection, abandonment and your past is stopping you from being happy, married, joyful, single or whatever else – check it out HERE.
ALSO, every week, I will be giving you a NEW scripture to meditate on for the week. The goal is to meditate on it daily AND memorize it. Even if you’ve already memorized the scripture — then meditate on it. Just roll it over in your mind, think about it, focus on it, break it down and study it in a brand new way.
I hope it’s going well! We will have a new one on Monday!
WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGE FOR NEXT WEEK!
We are eating at the house! No spending money on food/coffee/etc! We are PLANNING ahead! Meal prepping and staying focused!
The scripture for this week!
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Last week’s scripture to memorize:
Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The first’s week’s scripture is:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT Version)
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all that you do and He will show you which path to take.”
Just a few things!
