This is Day 20 from the Journal Challenge:
I have an EXCITING UPDATE! I’ve gotten TONS of emails from you ladies asking to do this all year. This challenge has ALSO changed MY life as well. However, I honestly laughed about it because emailing ya’ll everyday is a lot of work, research and study. haha! I love ya’ll but then the Lord really challenged my heart.
Why not?
And, I am always down for a challenge to grow deeper with the Lord. So, I decided to keep this thang’ going for 365 with Heather Lindsey.
So, I am going to give you all on opportunity to join me for 365 With Heather Lindsey. An entire YEAR of DAILY emails from me, studies, monthly challenges and so much more! Yasss!!
You will need to also sign up for 365 with Heather Lindsey and I will keep it separate from the 21 day challenge! I will send the link to sign up on Thursday (or sooner!) so keep looking at your emails.
Ok, back to the Journal Challenge.
The word the Lord put on my heart today is to STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP.
Do you keep messing up in a certain area?
You’ve prayed but you keep running back to that thing?
You’ve declared but you can’t shake it.
You are trying to get to right but it’s just plain hard.
Romans 8:1 tells me:
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
Satan seeks to CONDEMN YOU.
He seeks to KILL, STEAL AND DESTROY YOUR LIFE. (John 10:10)
So when you are beating yourself up — it doesn’t come from the Lord. The Lord is saying, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
When you repent it means that you TURN and go into another direction. The proof is in the pudding though.
When you are faced with a test, what do you do?
When you’re faced with porn, do you look?
When you’re faced to go through your husbands phone do you stop and look?
When you’re faced to emotionally eat, do you pick up your bible, drink some water and go to sleep?
When you’re faced with lust do you take a second look?
When you’re faced to cuss somebody out do you slow down and CHOOSE otherwise?
It’s a choice baby.
God gives us a WAY out of every tempting situation so that you DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE IN! (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Let’s pass the test. We are a new creation. All things are passed away and all things are new.
Let’s GO!
If you haven’t grabbed your journal or a book to read for the month — find one! If you need some help, I have journals and books HERE. I will rush ship everything to you!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the details of the Journal challenge, check it out HERE. I’ve also posted ALL of the previous days on my blog as well. Check out the details there.
I shared a course that I recorded on “Overcoming Insecurities” so if you are finding that rejection, abandonment and your past is stopping you from being happy, married, joyful, single or whatever else – check it out HERE.
ALSO, every week, I will be giving you a NEW scripture to meditate on for the week. The goal is to meditate on it daily AND memorize it. Even if you’ve already memorized the scripture — then meditate on it. Just roll it over in your mind, think about it, focus on it, break it down and study it in a brand new way.
I hope it’s going well! We will have a new one on Monday!
WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGE FOR WEDNESDAY!
We are eating at the house! No spending money on food/coffee/etc! We are PLANNING ahead! Meal prepping and staying focused!
The scripture for this week!
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Last week’s scripture to memorize:
Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The first’s week’s scripture is:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT Version)
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all that you do and He will show you which path to take.”
Just a few things!
